What’s our news?

Old news is stale news?  |  Sun 27th Nov; 2005 16:52

You might wonder what Tom does with himself in his free time. Well, here’s one answer from a Saturday in September - when he spent a couple of hours dressed like a loony, carrying a large pipe through town.

More pictures here, here and here.

We’re back!  |  Sun 7th Aug; 2005 11:56

Yes, indeed we are. And plenty has happened in the interim:

. We’ve moved house

. Tom has a new job

. My job has moved site

. Tom’s been away for training

. Tom’s parents have been to stay

. We still have hundreds of boxes to unpack..

..but things seem to be settling down to a routine, so hopefully we’ll get back to posting on here like we should!

Tux and the frog are enjoying a well deserved break at the moment, and will return when I remember which box they are in… :)

And finally, Tom’s almost finished a fancy photo album, so hopefully we’ll get this years photos up before next year starts!

Any spare cash?  |  Mon 4th Apr; 2005 19:24

Then fling it my way.

No, oops, sorry. Their way: CW Polar Team (but if you want to send some to me, I wouldn’t mind!)

In case you haven’t been paying attention to earlier posts, I work for CW Guernsey, so that’s how I know these guys. And yes, they are as mad as it seems from their site. Possibly madder. But it still is (one of the many, I know) a good cause. So if you’re up for a bit of a different donating experience, toddle over and give them some cash.

Shameless plugging of other lunatics ends.
(and I really do feel no shame!)

Ronan Keating comes to Guernsey?  |  Thu 24th Mar; 2005 18:15

Tom’s singing has been greatly praised lately, with a lady comparing him to Ronan Keating. And two of the children had this to say:

you are the Best Singer in the weld

They also drew these wonderful portraits. Click on them to see the full versions.

Then, the highlight of his career so far - this sunday gone, Palm Sunday, he sang solo for the ‘reflection’. He sang The Ballad of the Cross with backing from various members of the Harvey clan (and friends). Here is his version but be warned, it is 4.65MB.

We’ll be taking bookings for his first UK tour anytime soon!

Kirk. Vote now: Boyzone or not? [2]
